Ooohhhh dems some great finds Andie!! I would be taking that leather wing chair home if I could. What a great back and sides! That sideways bookcase looks a lot like mine *winks* How much was it can I ask? Also the french wicker settee? Your CL does have some great stuff! Did you bring any of them home? vanna
Love, love, love the wingback! x Sharon
Can't believe you didn't fall for the "French 1900s vintage ornately carved black lacquered loveseat"! It scares me every time I accidentally click on it. Yikes. Why do that to something that could have been lovely?
I wish we had a craigs list in our little town of 400 people in mid America. I have missed you at my blog. Richard at www.myoldhistorichouse.blogspot.com
Did you buy all of this stuff?
I didn't buy the bookcase or the Empire chest. I put a payment down on the chair the chandelier and the mirror. The set of chairs I am picking up tomorrow morning! The mirror amd the wing back chair were kind of up there in price but I really like them! The people were kind enough to let me make payments.Cris, I met the guy who lacquers the French furmiture. His name is John and he sooooo reminds me of Andy Warhol. Very, very nice man! I actually like the pieces but there is no way on the planet I could have patent leather with six cats! LOL!
Do you know anything about the mirror above "Mirror wth inscription at the bottom: NOSCE TE IPSUM, meaning KNOW THYSELF (6 by 7.5 ft)." Do you know who made this mirror and what is the story behind it.
Ever get info on this mirror? I found one exactly like it email@example.com
I love hearing what you have to say!
