Missing My Friends...

Hello Dear Friends!

I have missed you all so very much!
I would like to thank each and every one of you for your kind words and prayers after the death of my friend.  Although the passing of a loved one is never easy it really did help to "hear" your kind, loving and thoughtful words.
This summer has me jumping!  The gardens have preoccupied my time, as well as trips with Gracie and her cousin Izabel (who is staying the summer! Yay!)...we have also been busy bringing formerly homeless animals to their new families! Life has been good!
I don't know if I will ever be able to catch up here in Blogland but Lord knows I will try.
Please leave a response and let me know how you are doing?

In the meantime, I will leave you with photos of items I have picked up here and there for our home.  The photos are the actual Craigslist ads.  They look a bit different now!

Hm.  Seems I have no photos of the giant Gothic church window, the French Louis XVI chaise, the iron urns, antique leather wingback library chair, etc...but I will!

My parterre garden is almost finished! Five hundred one gallon boxwoods.  Our soil is pure concrete so it has been an adventure!  I will, of course, take photos when it is complete.  The informal English gardens on either side of the house are done, for the most part...although I need to do some rearranging, (you cannot always go by heights on plant labels!)

Warmest Regards,
Andie

  1. What a wonderful surprise to see your post on dashboard just now. Yes, I know what dashboard is and it is not part of my car. I bet your garden is wonderful. I am still going to get there and see it. I so look forward to getting comments from you on my blog post and am so sad you have been gone. But- I do understand. Some people have a life-out side the computer. I have been missing Ms. Gloria as well, she has had health problems and a sick husband. When she gets back, life will be good. I have been busy and working in the yard, but mostly pulling weeds and mowing. That is what you will be up against soon. getting ready for the 4th and will post that this weekend, so stop by. I am just rambling, as I am so happy, happy to see you back. Love and Sissy Dog kisses too. Richard at my Old Historic House

  2. Oh yes. Love the French folding day bed. I have one I use for fire wood on my side porch. I had a wood slat bottom made to fit it. Then in summer I get rid of the wood and add a soft pillow. I have had so many of them and I just love them. Enjoy. RC and Sissy

  5. Jumping for joy here to see you back Andie you’ve been greatly missed! I’m loving that first metal bed and those chairs are fabulous and I know you’ve re-upholstered them and I can’t wait to see. Wholly cow five hundred boxwoods??? That’s a lot of digging and I thought twenty-one hydrangeas was a lot. I understand you needed to take time for yourself but I’m so glad you’re back and I can’t wait to see all your projects.

  9. I AM SO HAPPY THAT YOU ARE BACK DEAREST!!! I have missed your style, your wit, YOU for these past several MONTHS????? I hope that the healing process with the passing of your friend will only leave loving impressions of her life with you.

BOXWOODS...did you say BOXWOODS? I have a mini Versailles in my garden for I have NOTHING BUT boxwoods here and I am lucky to have found GREEN VELVET that thrives in our COLD MINNESOTA WINTERS!

Dearest, I have an armoire I want to sell. You buy a lot from Craig's List. I was thinking of putting it up on Craig's list, but if you are interested in a French style armoire (it is in superb condition and is actually a T.V. cabinet, let me know).

SO GOOD TO SEE YOU!!!! Anita

  12. Hello Andi...you've been missed!! We went through the sudden loss of a young family member a while ago and realized afterwards that you are never prepared for something like the loss of a loved one and healing is as healing does...it's different for everyone and takes time. There's a whole new world to adjust to...and it takes getting used to. ♥
I love the day bed and I'm so amazed at the beautiful pieces you have available in your area on Craiglist...truly stunning!
Have a very Happy Fourth...so nice that Izabel is there.
