Hop:
Main Entry: bound
Part of Speech: verb
Definition: jump, bounce
Synonyms: bob, caper, frisk, gambol, hop , hurdle, leap, pounce, prance, recoil, ricochet, saltate, skip, spring, vault
I thought a fill in the blank would be fun!
How about this; Saltating down the Bunny Trail? Doesn't have the same ring, does it? Pounce is a good one. All in all, though, hop is best!
I have been busy trying to catch up. Have any of you ever caught up or is it just a perpetual goal?
We are hosting Easter Brunch and I am really nervous! We are also having an Easter Egg hunt (leave your weapons at the door) Sunday morning for the neighborhood kids! I really love this time of year!
Boing!!!!
Boing!!!!!
Boing!!!
Wishing all my dear Blog friends and your loved ones a wonderful Easter Sunday!
Here's a little glimpse of what I have been up to with the new (Craigslist) Secretary...
I painted it. You all knew I would. Annie Sloan Chalk Paint is like crack! Annie Sloan Crack Paint!
Sorry about the watermark ...it was the only copyable image I could find online!
Boing!!!!
Hoppity! Hoppity! Hoppity!
xo
Andie
Happy Easter to you, too. Can't wait to see the secretary reveal. {I think I'm the last gal on earth to not have painted with Annie Sloan's chalk paint. I bet Miss Annie is a billionaire by now.} ;)
ReplyDeleteXOXO,
Meredith
Oh, now you've found a gorgeous secretary. I need to hire you to shop Craigslist for me. LOL
ReplyDeleteGoing out to brunch here. I know yours will be lovely. Wish we had a little one to host an egg hunt for. Hope you'll share photos. Happy Hoppity Hoppity! ~ Sarah
Andie.....
ReplyDeleteI WANT YOU TO send me pictures EVERYDAY of the progress on the secretary.
This is not a request BUT A DEMAND!
Or.....you may just wake up one day with me barging in your door to look around!
I can't wait to see this beauty in it's new look!! Have a wonderful Easter Andie!
ReplyDeleteBe sure and find all the eggs at the Easter Egg Hunt, if one is left behind and it hatches, the result might be over whelming. Have a wonderful day, we are still having cold and snow. Poor spring flowers are beat to death. I picked some and are trying to force them. So far it is trying to work, but I am a bit impatient and tomorrow is the big day. Hove and Bunny Wishes. Richard and Sissy Dog.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter, Andie! Have a fabulous time at your brunch and Easter egg hunt! I wish I could "barge" into your house and look around...you are so talented! Thanks for sharing yourself with us!

Dear Andie, Good luck with the Easter brunch and the egg hunt. I am sure you will do well. I am sure everyone will be amazed at your house and they will love everything.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Easter holiday with your family and friends. Hope you have better weather than we do. We have snow and I can't remember Easter like that, not even when I still lived in Ontario.
XOXO
Hi, Andie!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about being nervous doing a big brunch. I'm a good cook, but usually confine dinner parties to no more than eight. I'm more comfortable with controlled, choreographed, old fashioned formality than crowds milling around "casually" all over the place. Guess I'm neurotic. (:-o
You're so gifted, so interesting and so outgoing I know your brunch will be a huge success.
That secretary has great lines. I'm dying to see what you do with it. Not being anywhere near as brave -- or as ambitious -- as you, I'd probably just clean it throughly with soft cloths dampened with white vinegar, then give it three coats of wax each buffed to within an inch of its life. Right now it's pale, so I might want to use it against a dark Forest Green wall.
I know you'll do something far more imaginative than that.
HAPPY EASTER!
PS: Loved your comment on the true meaning of success over at at Z's. - FT
Wholly cow Andie your secretary is gorgeous! I found a so-so cane bench and was going to try my hand at "Sloaning it" but I trip and my foot went through it and not worth the money having the cane rewoven so the bench went bye~bye. I'll find something else to paint since I now have the kit. Enjoy your Easter Sunday!

OMG really!! I have to see this one, and agree with Betsy. I will be away seeing Annie this week and I shall ask if she is a billionaire yet. When I return I hope to find a progress post on your secretary! By the way have you seen the black and gold music cabinet on Downton Abbey with the images in the cameo centers? I think you should look for it! Well I can post it on my facebook as I snapped a photo while watching the show if you want to take a look.
ReplyDeleteHave a Blessed Easter, Andie!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you and your family too, Andie! Hope that your egg hunt and brunch went well! Hugs, Leena hop hop hop
