Although my passion for animals is well known, I will not be posting my weekly shelter animal in need today. I feel I must put that passion on hold temporarily and ask my friends to reach out to those touched by the devastation in Japan.
The
Red Cross is taking much needed donations to help these people. Will you donate?
"And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. "
Bible
Mister man and I already made our donation for Japan and lets hope it gets to the people unlike Haiti. Please note that US made a committed pledge for 2011 of forty one million dollars and the people of Haiti have only received one thirteenth of that money. They are still living in tents, among rubble and without fresh water because of our government fighting among themselves about it. Please donate to a responsible charity like Red Cross.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts today was and still is consumed by this event...I cannot comprehend what the people-young and old, sick and healthy, must be going through. what amazes me is that the over all emotions is so calm, of course there is shock but no hysterics...I have a need to be quiet...thank goodness for the media making us aware and able to help.
