A four foot tall, three piece, hand carved eagle?
Found on Craigslist for $40!
Or a pair of gilded angel's wings?
I found these while searching for "wall hanging". I was looking for a tapestry.
I found one of those too!
At seven feet long it is big enough to cover the wonky railing in the 18 foot entry of our home!
This is the wonky railing before. You cannot tell but the angle is not symmetrical!
This angle is from the front door, looking up...
While perusing Craigslist always keep an open mind!
One man's wall hanging is another man's tapestry or even a pair of angel wings!

I saw wings immediately. Nice find.
ReplyDeleteDarling Andie!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, your finds and ability to get them as such deals is unmatched. YOU SCORE EVERY TIME! How did I miss this? I have you on my blog roll...hmmmm
And then there is your comment. Wow. Thank you my friend. I love to write, and I want to write well. For me, it's about learning the rules, what works, then being yourself. Big hugs, many thanks. Anita
Would love to find some old Gothic wings, yet making them is the second best to finding some old ones. Just sold a 5" foot wing from my etsy site for a baby girls nursery at the beach about an hour and a half from my home in Malibu Ca, wish I could have delivered it in person to see the nursery.
ReplyDeleteWish I could come visit like a neighbor would to see your grandeur in person....you find the best deals.
I am going to start looking that much harder at Craigslist... :)
Have a beautiful Sunday, with a new week of hunting those great finds down :)

Andie I knew you were after those wings immediately! Beautiful tapestry too!
ReplyDeleteBS! I can't believe it. I got on Craig's list because of your incredible finds and it was crap. I guess my area doesn't have good stuff. I must have gotten on Craig's s___list. I am so envious. Some of the stuff you find would make dealers swoon. Guess it is true about some people have a good eye.
ReplyDeleteYou have a good eye, I honestly only saw an eagle! Very pretty. I love tapestries, this is going to look beautiful! Wow...18 foot ceilings! :)
