More Craigslist Finds! Entire Living Room!

Well, I must say I am excited for several reasons about this post!  Not only did I get great deals on this furniture, but I have enough to finish the entire living room!
The room is not set up yet but I wanted to share my finds.  Use your imagination to see these items nestled in their new home!
Floral loveseat...modern and vintage all at the same time!

Mirror to go behind loveseat!  Look at the vivid colors!  Your guests should know what types of things interest you.  Great conversation starter!

Another loveseat to sit opposite the floral one...see how the orange velour brings out the brown tones in the floral sofa?

Anyone who knows me knows how much I adore armoires in a room!  This room is no exception!

What living room would be complete without a television set?  This set says "vintage" to me!

Spare seating is a MUST!  Wheels are a convenient addition.  One can move the chair effortlessly! (Even with someone in  the chair! Grandma can participate in more family gatherings, just wheel her about!)

Artwork always lends a personal touch!  Don't you agree?

Of course, nothing warms up a room faster and brings it all together like a good area rug!

I hope you are as excited as I am!

Tee Hee!  April Fool!
Honestly?  A bear skin rug?  In my house?!
I had to do it early so you wouldn't suspect anything!
I had so much fun writing this!  I giggled the entire time!

  10. This was funny and a good laugh..thanks I needed that to start my day. Wish you could have seen my mind scrambling to see how I could possibly come up wtih something nice to say, first the velour sofa, then the baseball mirror that would only look right in a sports bar, then the huge mega tv set...oh dear, it was like a nightmare that was getting worse the more I scrolled down. I was then realizing there was no way I could say something complimentary without bald face lying so figured I will come back tomorrow to hoepfully be inspired!LOL...you had us all fooled!! I mean I like vintage but this throws a whole new spin on the word. Good one!!

  21. LMAO... at first I thought I had come to the wrong Blog!?!?! *winks* And then I had to pause and wonder... surely she is not serious??? This was like a bad 70's Flashback for me...I began having PTSD about Burnt Orange Shag Carpeting... Avocado and Harvest Gold appliances... horrid swirly Mirrored Tiling everywhere... Velvet paintings of Elvis and Dogs playing cards... Formica... linoleum... Oh God I feel sick *winks* ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...
The Psychedelic 60's I adored... the 70's was just a lot of bad decorating and fashion... very bad... bad... bad... bad... *LOL*

I'm relieved now to know you're still the Andie we've come to know and be inspired by... and you haven't gone over to the dark side of 70's decorating *smiles*... Dawn... The Bohemian

  22. PS: This HAD to be the "irony" of imagining in "primitive dwelling spaces" you eluded to on my Post and had Vanna and I wondering what you had up your sleeve??? *LOL* Honestly Andie, when I saw that 1st photo I was REALLY hoping it was a joke because I was speechless on how I'd respond if you weren't... I would have had to go by the old addage of..."If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all..." *Smiles*

  27. Well bummer! I was so excited to see your new "groovy in a far out kind of way" pad! Okay, it was starting to look like a frat house, curbside pickup kind of place. But, who am I to judge? Rest assured, we will all be here for you when the nightmares of living in that room start to hit you. Happy April fool's day to you and in the words of, obviously one of your favorite men since you have a photo of him in your new space, "I'll be back!" :)
