Loyalty

Navy SEAL U.S. Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Jon T. Tumilson was among the 30 American troops killed August 6 when Taliban insurgents downed their Chinook helicopter with a rocket-propelled grenade. At his funeral in Iowa, his dog Hawkeye paid his last respects, walking up to the casket, lying down in front of it, and heaving a sigh.

  1. I can believe this as our dogs really love us and that dog knows who is in there. God bless them and God Bless America. Richard from My Old Historic House.

  5. When I saw this and read the story it just broke my heart.

The relationship we have with anyone, friend, family, companion, pet, is so meaningful. It makes me realize the poignancy of our life here.
