  5. love Mother Teresa's quote...oh so true. once, I heard a preacher say, "who knows? you might be the only Jesus someone sees today." it always makes me stop in my tracks and say a prayer.
wonderful ending to the story on Asia; how on earth do we let people slip through the cracks? God help us but, most importantly, God forgive us.

  11. How wonderful and heart touching post this is my friend, something you know so well how to do and have experienced in your own skin. I saw a Little old lady at least 85 or more today around here, in the Street and begging for some coins and mother and I gave her some money, as all she wanted was to have lunch...can you just imagine? I prayed for her and haven't stopped thinking about her.
I hope you had a blessed Tksgiving, along with your dearest family. Your new pic with I'm sure it's your gorgeous Little girl! Thanks for coming over to visit, I love it when you do!
    Big hugs,

  13. OOOH! I want that frowzy little kitten walking doggedly in between the boots of indifferent passersby! I've never been able to pass a stray kitten without picking it up and doing everything I can for it. It's a wonder I haven't turned out to one of those people who have forty cats in a small house, but so far I've always been able to find homes for them.

You really do have a great knack for finding marvelous material of all kinds, Andie. These quotations -- and the pictures accompanying them -- were appropriately poignant and encouraging to constructive thought and action. Just right for the Season.

I hope your dinner turned out well? I felt a little guilty at having posted that recipe, after you said you were going to give it a whirl, but it has always worked very well in all the years I've known it (almost too many to count by now, I fear ;-). Do let me know what else you served, if you want to share the details. I'd love to know.

    HAPPY DAZE!

  14. The comments from Bram Stoker and Aldous Huxley strike me as highly ironic since both of them did so much to give us nightmares and heighten our sense of anxiety, but I am glad they came to those benevolent conclusions somewhere along the line. Thank you for sharing them.

  18. You are wonderful. You remind us of what is REAL.....my writing reminds others of what unreal, dreamy, but I hope to touch on such matters as you do. I feel ashamed in a way, of being so opulent in my mind....

Thank you for visiting me. And I suppose those animals don't dance after the cameras are gone!

Loving thanks and wishes to you. Anita
