Details, Details...

Dining Buffet

Detail of leg on dining table. Thank you, ebay!

McGillicuddy...please note, he is the same color as the floor...and the trim...and the balusters. He sneaks outside all the time because we can't see him...he blends right in! It might be easier to paint the cat but that ugly orange woodwork has to GO! That color only looks good on cats, I say!

My $50 mirror. You probably cannot see the red pheasant feathers...I put them there for the holidays and liked it so much I think they will stay!

Dining room...still painting chairs!

Eating area in kitchen. We gave our neighbor the bulit in desk that was there...too big and just silly if you ask me!

GINORMOUS Craigslist mirror...waiting to be hung over the mantel...

Mirror detail...

Second leather recamier in family room, matches the one in the last post. Please note the Biedermeier secretary in the background that I bought on Craigslist for $200!

Cherub shelf beneath painting...

Staircase vignette...

Mantel detail. The first thing I did when we moved in was paint the ugly brown mantel. Can you believe it? A brand new house with a 1970's ugly mantel? I dunno, I just don't know...ugly brown brick 6/12 feet in all directions. I am not in love with the way it looks now but I have me an idea!

Coat closet door detail. I am going to paint the orangey wood. I can't decide if I am painting my woodwork grey or cream? The "handles" are actually door knockers from ebay!

Detail of doorknocker handles...

Florentine frame found on Craigslist, merely hung over the existing mirror for now. I have a LOT of work to do in this powder room!

Narrow front entry with Craigslist mirror. It was white, I painted it bronze.

Craigslist chest and mirror, purchased separately..upstairs loft hallway...

Detail of mirror. It has a garden implement theme!

French steel dental cabinet from Craigslist! Please note the hole in the wall on the lower right corner of the photo. That was from Max and Lola, our rescue pit bulls. I'm keeping it there for now because I miss them...

Detail of mirror and mercury glass Madonna...

  2. I have 3,000 square feet to fill, and by God I will! LOL!
Vanna, the secretary is too dark to photograph. I had better get my camera out instead of using my cell phone camera.
